For my Family 160 class we had the opportunity to watch a video on an immigrant family from Mexico that moved to the United States for a better future. I learned how they struggled a lot as a family. I think the children suffer the most. They have to leave behind their old friends, their culture, and learn a new language and make new friends. They struggle with school because of the language barrier and sometimes they have to live in poverty which gives them less opportunities to join sports, or get the basic needs that a child needs to succeed in this life.
